Job Summary:
The Client Relations Assistant is the information hub of the business and will interact with global clients electronically, ensuring that the communication is responsive, accurate and professional.

You will handle multiple documents and therefore must have an eye for detail and be extremely organized.

The job requires someone who is personable, emotionally
intelligent and can build professional relationships with ease. The job holder is expected to be highly productive and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications, Training and Experience:

* Associate degree in Office Administration, General Studies or related field

* Customer Service training

* Administrative Professional training

* At least 2 years’ administrative experience in a customer-oriented workplace

The following are the ideal mix of experience, education and personal characteristics: –

  1. At least one (1) year’s previous experience in performing the following:
    • After-the-fact bookkeeping and accounting tasks (includes data entry; balance and reconcile accounts; analyse invoice/expense reports and post transactions correctly; prepare payroll and remittances for statutory deductions; accounts production)
    • Audit procedures in the areas of cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payrolls, and expense analysis
    • Review and audit business transaction cycles including cash, capital expenditures and other income and expenses
    • Research audit issues, utilise electronic databases, review-track financial information and utilise audit related software, if applicable
    • Tax compliance and tax preparation assignments and file tax returns at Inland Revenue Division (IRD)
  2. First degree in Accounting or Finance related field with strong technical aptitude and skillset
  3. Evidence of critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  4. Friendly and sociable disposition as part of a service-oriented personality
  5. Ability to critically review own work
  6. Experience of accounts preparation and tax work for SME clients
  7. Experience using Microsoft packages, internet, email and computerised accounting packages
  8. The requisite stamina to complete intense work to achieve critical deadlines

Vacancy: Hotel Junior Operations Manager (Carriacou)

We are looking for the right candidate…..could that be you?

 

The Mermaid Beach Hotel opened on Carriacou in July 2015. It has been rated highly for its prime beach location, quality of rooms and friendly team. This 22-room family owned property is planning to expand its guest services and requires a hands-on and energetic hospitality professional to fill the position of Junior Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the job holder will have the opportunity to positively contribute to financial returns and guest reviews by implementing targeted marketing strategies to boost occupancy as well as by improving operating procedures to ensure guests’ expectations are consistently exceeded.

The successful candidate would be responsible for management of the operational, reservations, marketing and administrative functions. These include:

  1. Devise marketing strategies which increase occupancy and improve the average daily room rate;
  2. Manage the room reservation system to ensure the highest yield;
  3. Ensure that operating procedures are developed and successfully implemented in order to maintain consistency in service delivery;
  4. Perform administrative and accounting functions such as scheduling employees, payroll preparation, budgeting, purchasing, payments, receivables and overseeing postings in the Accounting software; and
  5. Oversee the Callaloo Restaurant & Bar.

                                            

The job would be ideal for a national of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique or the Eastern Caribbean with a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Management or Operations Management, who has successfully supervised a Front Office department (including Reservations) for 3 – 4 years. Food & Beverage experience is a definite advantage.
